Only a 1000? That’s really going to solve global warming! (being facetious) What we need is a Marshall plan to build 100 million of these things, + get a proper battery inside, not 6000 tiny AA cells strung up like Xmas lights! Maybe that’s their plan, but if that’s the case, then why not just say so, clearly, circle the wagons, or take Detroit along for the ride? This could either be another mirage or the start of something big, really big. The Tesla is no different than the Venturi Fetish - on the inside. So what makes the Tesla so different in the eyes of the media suddenly? Well, the name maybe, which conjures up energy suppression conspiracies in the minds of many Tesla cultists. Also that the money is coming from IT billionaires like PayPal, eBay and Google. Or that the car was first revealed at the TED conference, a hip and modern version of the Trilateral Commission. Will this lead to a revolution in the automobile industry? Will state of the art motors and batteries finally come off the shelf with the blessings of the military industrial complex so we move away from oil into a pollution free economy? Will I live to see it? I don’t know... But a good start would be putting some of the most beautiful girls in the world behind the wheel of the Tesla, that my friends, that - would be a good start.
